Organizing Product Teams for Success

Type of Session: Panel (would need volunteer participants from conference)

Presenter: Anusha Sthanunathan

Description of Session:

This panel discussion aims to illuminate different models for organizing product teams. Each panel participant will ideally bring to the table a unique perspective on how their product organization is shaped within their own company, and describe its successes and drawbacks. The goal of this discussion is to empower the audience to make big and bold changes to create product machines - perhaps just on their team, or even across the company. Questions asked include:

1. Describe how your product team is viewed within the company. Is your company "product-led"?

2. Who currently "calls the shots" on roadmap decisions? Does any particular team have veto power over the other?

3. What are the rules of engagement when it comes to cross-functional partnership?

4. 4-in-the-box model: does this model work? Why or why not?

5. What are some other Product Operation models implemented at your company and how does this promote speed & value?
